Position Summary
The Tax Manager, US Domestic is responsible for the overall tax
lifecycle (planning, provision, compliance, and controversy) for
the relevant jurisdiction(s). This position will manage the
quarterly and annual tax provision including estimated annualized
tax rate, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, tax
controls and other tax accounting tasks. The role is approximately
50% tax compliance, 30% tax accounting, and 20% tax
research/planning/controversy.
Duties & Responsibilities
Essential
--- Manage tax compliance calendar to track the timely reporting of
all US income tax returns.
--- Manage and review the third-party providers responsible for the
outsourced tax compliance with respect to timeline and fees.
--- Provide review comments to ensure correct presentation of US
income tax returns and quarterly estimates.
--- Prepare, maintain, and provide supporting documentation for US
Federal, state, and local income tax audits.
--- Monitor US federal-related legislative updates and determines
impact to current, future, and/or historical tax filings.
--- Ensure adequate tax return support and documentation is
maintained for future tax audit.
--- Prepare US GAAP tax adjustments for US entities as part of
annual and interim provision process.
--- Identify opportunities to further integrate the tax provision
and federal compliance processes by leveraging similar datasets,
workpapers, and resources.
--- Effectively team with the MGR North Americas & US Intl with
respect to incorporating U.S. international tax matters in the
provision and compliance tasks.
--- Effectively team with the Manager - Provision to ensure RTP and
TBBS is prepared, reviewed, and documented adequately and
timely.
--- Contribute to tax planning and other enterprise
initiatives.
--- Support for IRS and state/local audits.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
--- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
--- Minimum 7 years of corporate and/or public tax experience with
emphasis on US international compliance, research, planning, and
tax accounting.
--- Strong research, communications, and organizational skills.
--- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
--- CPA or CPA candidate.
--- Prior managerial experience.
DESIRED
--- Master's in taxation, JD, or LLM with emphasis on taxation.
--- Public accounting background, corporate tax, or a mix of
both.
--- Experience with Canadian or other non-US compliance, research,
planning and tax accounting.
--- Working knowledge of PeopleSoft ERP System.
--- Experience with ONESOURCE Tax Provision.
--- Experience with Alteryx, PowerBI, PowerQuery, Tableau, and
UiPath.

Additional Information
This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a
designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the
hiring manager based on business need.
