Job Details JobOverview: Perform duties too variedand diverse to be classified in any specific office clerical occupation,requiring limited knowledge of office management systems and procedures. Clerical duties may beassigned in accordance with the office procedures of individual establishmentsand may include a combination of answering telephones, bookkeeping, typing orword processing, stenography, office machine operation, and filing. KeyResponsibilities/Accountabilities: - Collect, count, and disburse money, basic bookkeeping, andcomplete banking transactions. - Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals toanswer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders, and addresscomplaints. - Answer telephones, direct calls, and take messages. - Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities,business transactions, and other activities. - Complete and mail bills, contracts, policies, invoices, or checks. - Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners,facsimile machines, voice mail systems, and personal computers. - Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such asrecords or reports. - Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and databasesystems, either manually or using a computer. - Open, sort, and route incoming mail, answer correspondence, andprepare outgoing mail. - Review files, records, and other documents to obtain informationto respond to requests. - Responsible for observing and complying with all safety andproject rules. Performs other duties as required. BasicQualifications: - Mayrequire a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years ofexperience in the field or in a related area. Desired/PreferredQualifications: - Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy. - Operate business machines, computers and/or menu drivenapplications. - Plan work on a daily basis - Possess excellent communication skills, interpersonal,organizational and problem solving skills. - Make decisions based on measurable criteria. - Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedureswithin a particular field. - Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to performthe functions of the job. - Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do nottypically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to asupervisor or manager.
