This is a full-time, 100% outdoors position — you’ll work closely with a crew of dedicated professionals to keep our yard organized, efficient, and safe. The Yard Foreman plays a hands-on role in coordinating daily operations, operating equipment, and ensuring every task is completed with precision and teamwork. What You’ll Do: Lead, coach, and motivate your crew to meet production and safety goals every day. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and loaders to move and stage materials. Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, verify inventory, and maintain accurate records. Ensure compliance with all company, OSHA, and FRA safety standards while maintaining a clean, organized yard. Requirements: As Yard Foreman, you’ll be responsible for coordinating resources, assigning daily tasks, and staying one step ahead to keep things moving. You’ll also step in where needed — from operating machinery to mentoring newer team members. The pace is steady, the work is physical, and the sense of accomplishment is unmatched. We’re looking for someone with proven experience leading yard, industrial, or heavy equipment operations — someone who takes initiative without waiting for instructions. Your experience with equipment, materials, and safety will set the tone for your crew, and your ability to stay focused under pressure will keep the team performing at its best. You’ll need a high school diploma or GED, a strong mechanical mindset, and the physical ability to work in all weather conditions — heat, rain, or cold — safely and effectively. Prior supervisory experience is preferred, and familiarity with rail, industrial, or materials environments is a strong advantage.
