Job Description:
Walker Lovell is now seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static
Equipment) for a longstanding client who are increasing their
production capabilities with a new petrochemical facility. The EPC
project urgently needs a highly skilled engineer to support static
equipment manufacturing, assembly, and installation for these
diverse project and others coming up in the pipeline.
Project Scope: +/- $900M (Up to 2025)
Responsibilities are (but are not limited to):
- Collaborate with diverse team and contractors for organizing
and developing Capital Projects, ensuring completion
on-site.
- Engage in discussions with engineers, contractors, and
customers to assess and coordinate engineering activities,
fabrication, testing, and documentation.
- Review technical specifications, design documents, and
calculations for compliance with codes and standards, including
material selection, equipment design, and fabrication.
- Evaluate manufacturing concepts and processes to enhance
efficiency and maintain project integrity.
- Oversee equipment testing, support root cause analysis, and
monitor fabrication progress to ensure quality and meet schedule
milestones.
- Foster collaborative discussions with engineers, customers, and
stakeholders to review engineering projects and products,
facilitating effective communication and decision-making.
- Manage project production, ensuring timely completion within
budget, while maintaining a professional image and adhering to
company policies, driving organizational success and client
satisfaction.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering (Master's
Degree would be advantageous).
- Advanced experience of working on large-scale EPC projects as
well as solid experience working within operations/with an
operator.
- Exposure to basic petrochemical production ie. Ammonia or
Methanol.
- Extensive technical experience within static and rotating
equipment, systems, tools and specific API Codes.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and develop engineering,
construction, and technical specifications, incorporating complex
government regulations and ensuring compliance with Federal, state,
and local environmental requirements.

Capabilities (non-exhaustive) include:
- Role requires the engineer to work within all weather
conditions.
- Can work with heights (up to 100ft) and have the ability to
lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to wear specific PPE as required.
- Travel Up to 20%
