worldwide. About the Role The Senior Compliance Engineer leads
product approvals and certification efforts by partnering with
regulatory agencies to ensure products meet global safety and
performance standards. This role is part of the broader Engineering
Approvals organization and plays a critical role in enabling both
new product development (NPD) and sustaining engineering programs.
You will perform detailed product analysis and hands-on testing ,
manage certification submissions, and serve as a trusted compliance
advisor to engineering, product management, sales, and
field-support teams. This position offers direct visibility into
product strategy and global market access decisions. What You’ll Do
Interpret applicable safety and performance standards and apply
requirements to products Participate in product development teams
to ensure global hazardous location and performance requirements
are considered early in design Develop and execute certification
strategies aligned with product and market requirements Create test
plans, oversee testing activities, and interpret results in
compliance with internal and external standards Prepare technical
justifications and certification documentation for regulatory
submissions Interface directly with third-party certification
agencies and manage approvals projects Write and execute test
protocols, document results, and author formal test reports
Maintain existing certifications and support audit preparation and
participation Advise cross-functional teams on compliance
considerations for: New product development Sustaining engineering
Customer and field-support inquiries Prioritize and manage multiple
approvals projects in a fast-growing environment What You Bring
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 5 years of
industry experience, including 3 years in approvals/compliance
engineering Proven experience leading at least two successful
product approval programs , including testing and agency
submissions Strong analytical skills with hands-on testing
experience U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or green card
(required due to contractual obligations) Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (highly preferred)
Experience supporting both new product development and sustaining
programs Strong understanding of verification and validation
testing Experience with products certified for hazardous or
regulated environments Ability to translate regulatory standards
into practical engineering and testing requirements Strong
attention to detail, organization, and a continuous improvement
