_*\*\*Apply online at www.goodwilltxla.org\*\**_*Clicking Apply on Indeed does not submit an application.**SUMMARY: *Assist Store Manager in managing retail store engaged in selling donated merchandise, or general lines of merchandise to derive a net profit by performing the following duties personally or through store employees:*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * including but not limited to the following: (others duties may be assigned.)* Ensure acceptable level of service is provided to customers and donors; address customer or donor concerns/inquiries.* Plan and prepare work schedules; assign employees specific duties to maintain an appropriate level of productivity to meet or exceed established financial goals.* Maintains merchandising guidelines through colorization and classification of store inventory. Also ensure inventory is maintained by timely requisitioning of donated goods.* Completes required paperwork accurately and neatly submits within established timeframe.* Enforces security and loss prevention procedures, ensuring sales transactions are rung up and reported accurately, all monies are collected, counted and deposited securely.* Creates positive public image of Goodwill through clean store environment, attractive displays, and presentable store staff.* Comply with established organizational policies and procedures to communicate with employees regarding management's evaluation of their job performance.* Ensure that merchandise, which meets established quality standards, flows to the sales area on consistent basis; communicate merchandise needs to support management.* Ensure compliance of employees with established safety, security, sales, housekeeping, financial procedures and practices.* Communicate directly and consistently with Store Manager.* Assists in achieving or exceeding budgeted sales goal monthly / annually.*SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: *Directly supervises 3 to 5 employees; carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees with the store manager's involvement, and addressing complaints/inquiries.*EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED); a minimum of one year related employment, supervisory experience desirable.*PHYSICAL DEMANDS: *The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
