Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis under the direction of the
Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will participate in growing
the financial acumen of The Friedkin Group Inc. and its operating
company affiliates. Manager will apply financial planning and
analysis skills specifically in the areas of margin analysis,
expenses monitoring and control, creating financial decision
support for the operating affiliates. Manager will lead the
business planning process across the shared services group. In
addition, responsibilities would include preparing and supervising
the preparation of the financial reporting and analysis to the top
executive team. This position will have a key role in process
improvement projects. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Lead and supervise the
combine monthly reporting for executive managementReview monthly
financial results of the affiliated companiesIdentify any unusual
balances, trends, transactions for further research or
explanationEnsure quality, accurate and timely reportingLead and
supervise the preparation of all external reportingLead, motivate,
reward and develop direct reports to improve productivity and
performance.Financial planning, budgeting and analysis:Lead the
enterprise annual business planning process and provide guidance on
budgets for business unit affiliates
- Provide guidance for update forecasting Provide financial
planning and analysis function to the The Friedkin Group shared
service groups:
- Review monthly financial results
- Assist with reforecast of full year results
- Perform cost and trend analysis to monitor spend and partner
with stakeholders to challenge spend and identify discrepancies
quickly.Facilitate any capital acquisition requests needed. The
Manager must be comfortable working closely with business
stakeholders and interacting with business unit affiliates on a
regular basis to:
- Identify and quantify potential financial benefits of
improvement ideas and initiatives
- Assist in the development of performance measurements and other
financial tools
- Assist business units in reporting and translating performance
measurements so that they can drive changes
- Research and resolve accounting transaction questions and other
customer issues
- Coordinate and communicate actions between the Friedkin
affiliated companiesBe a change agent:
- Provide out of the box thinking on solving issues
- Flexible, open to change and proactive
- Work on departmental and enterprise-wide initiatives
- Participate in developing diagnostic analysis specific to a
business unit
- Assist affiliates in streamlining and eliminating transactions
and efforts SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position will
supervise 1-2 direct reports. QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree from
a four-year college or university preferably with a degree in
Finance or Accounting, plus 8 years related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
