worker's health and safety.Job Summary: The Lead Medical Assistant
works under the guidance of the Clinic Manager to assist with
maintaining efficient patient flow and quality care during clinic
and on-site hours. Will act as a liaison between the clinic manager
and the staff. This position is responsible for the training of new
staff and yearly certification. Recognize ethical and legal
responsibilities. Perform a variety of clinical procedures and
administrative duties. Supervisory duties in the absence of the
clinic manager and staff as assigned. Keeps manager apprised of
early personnel issues.Responsibilities:Provide backup support to
the medical assistant team, which includes all functions of a
medical assistant.Assist with clinic scheduling, problem solving,
patient wait times, and other areas of concern to increase
efficient and quality services.Review charts, lab test results, and
required forms for completeness and to assess follow-up as
needed.Oversees medical supplies inventory and performs preventive
maintenance to keep medical equipment operating, including
sterilization of medical instruments and supplies are ready by
inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.Provide
backup support to injury care.Work collaboratively with the clinic
manager and staff on programs to improve client outcomes.Perform
phlebotomy service and give injections.Maintains safe, secure, and
healthy work environment by establishing and following standards
and procedures and complying with legal regulations.Keeps equipment
operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting
breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive
maintenance.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational
opportunities and reading professional publications.Serves and
protects the practice by adhering to professional standards;
facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local
requirements.Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership
for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring
opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Assist with

Requirements:Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Medical
Assistant Certification requiredMinimum of five years of experience
in a medical clinicKnowledgeable of and maintains HIPAA standards
of privacy and confidentialityPhlebotomy certificationPhysical
Demands: Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time, lift,
carry push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 75 pounds.
Repetitive motion. Extensive use of computers, copy machines and
keyboards. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands,
and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity
to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and
figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive
reading. Work is performed in a medical clinic setting and requires
the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and
other items, to walk short distances, and drive a vehicle to
deliver and pick up materials.Mental Requirements: Learn new tasks,
remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently,
make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to
communicate with employees and visitors, ability to complete tasks
in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.Position
