Job Description:

Seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide direct patient care and assist Registered Nurses in a 40-bed Acute Trauma Medical Surgical unit.
The unit specializes in post-operative care of patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal and urologic procedures, and is known for its expertise in bariatric surgery patient care.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Administer direct patient care and treatments as ordered by physicians
  
• Administer medications as outlined by hospital policy and procedure
  
• Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses to provide high-quality patient care
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Graduate of a State Board Vocational School of Nursing or equivalent
    
  • Six (6) months acute hospital experience preferred
    
  • Current LVN license with ability to practice in the State of Texas
    
  • AHA BLS certification within two (2) weeks of employment
