Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Acute Orthopedic Unit at Christus Health. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care to patients undergoing orthopedic, spine, neurological, plastic, and trauma-related surgeries.Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Prescribe, delegate, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate patient teaching and the activities of ancillary nursing personnel.
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapy Department to provide post-surgical care and rehabilitation.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.Requirements
  • Graduate of a State Board accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
  • 1 year of RN acute hospital experience preferred.
  • Current RN license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
