Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:Occupational Therapist - Discipline:Therapy - Start Date:07/21/2025 - Duration:13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift:8 hours, days - Employment Type:Travel Position:Occupational Therapist Facility:UTMB John Sealy Hospital – Galveston, TX Contract Length:13 Weeks Shift:Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1 hour lunch) Guaranteed Hours:40 hours/week Weekend Requirements:None Start Dates & Orientation: - Monday, July 21st:Virtual HCSS orientation - Wednesday, July 23rd:In-patient Epic training for Therapists Education Required: - Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Licensure/Certification Required: - Currently licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Texas Experience Required: - Minimum 3 years of OT experience - Preferred:Acute care experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center Responsibilities: - Directs theevaluation, development, coordination, and implementationof occupational therapy treatment for patients - Acts as apatient advocate, ensuring therapy delivery aligns with legal, ethical, and institutional standards - Adheres to departmental and organizationalphilosophies, objectives, policies, and procedures GSA Hours: Not guaranteed during orientation week and the following week Guaranteed set hours apply afterward, excluding holidays or when the unit is closed About PS Companies PS Companies is staffing firm based in West Allis, WI.
