Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in patient rehabilitation
and home-based care, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech
Pathologist to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing
expert speech therapy services to patients with a variety of
speech, language, and swallowing disorders, primarily within our
inpatient rehabilitation facilities, with opportunities to support
our home health services. As part of our team, you will be pivotal
in developing individualized treatment plans and delivering the
highest quality of care to facilitate patient recovery and
independence. Assess and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing
disorders in patients with diverse needs and backgrounds. Formulate
and execute effective treatment plans based on patient-specific
assessments and goals. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
including physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation specialists
to provide holistic care. Educate patients and their families about
communication techniques and strategies to cope with speech and
language impairments. Maintain patient records and documentation in
compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.
Regularly monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as
necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Proficiency in various speech
therapy techniques and technologies. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a
team-oriented environment. Experience with electronic health
records systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Current state licensure as a Speech-Language
Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language
Pathology (CCC-SLP) issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing
Association.
