Job Description:
Memorial Hermann, a renowned health system in Texas, is seeking
a dedicated and skilled Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to
join our team on a full-time, night shift basis. This position
offers a unique opportunity to work within a compassionate

and patient satisfaction. As a Labor & Delivery RN, you will be an
integral part of the team, providing critical care during one of
the most important times in our patients' lives. Your expertise in
managing both routine and complex pregnancies will ensure the
health and safety of both babies and mothers during the birthing
process. Conduct pre-labor assessments and monitor maternal and
fetal well-being. Administer medications and treatments as
prescribed and monitor responses. Assist with inducing labor and
managing epidurals or other pain management techniques. Provide
support and care during labor and delivery, including all stages of
labor. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as
appropriate. Support and educate patients and families regarding
postpartum care and recovery. Collaborate with multidisciplinary
team members to improve care outcomes. Manage emergency situations
such as eclampsia, breech births, and multiple births. Proficient
in fetal monitoring and interpreting labor progress. Skilled at IV
insertion, administering medications, and performing epidural
monitoring. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to
effectively educate and support patients and families. Ability to
work effectively in a fast-paced and emotionally intense
environment. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Basic
Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support
(ACLS) certification desired. Certification in Inpatient Obstetric
Nursing (RNC-OB) is a plus.
