Job Description We are searching for a Speech Language Pathologist - Outpatient someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you plan, evaluate, organize and implement Speech-Language Therapy treatment programs in the area of speech, feeding/swallowing, language, and learning disorders in a developmentally and age-appropriate manner for patients primarily between the ages of 0 –adulthood. Responsibilities: - Performs patient evaluations/consultations and interprets results - Provides results verbally to patient and/or family/caregiver and/or to referral source - Develops treatment plan in conjunction with patient and/or family/caregiver - Implements treatment plan and monitors progress on an ongoing basis - Maintains records as required by law, IDS policy and administrative regulations - Documents evaluation procedures, results, diagnoses, and recommendations - Attends and participates in continuing education programs as required to maintain licensure and promote professional growth - Promotes speech-language pathology services within the community and the IDS Qualifications: - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology field of study required - CCC-SLP certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association to be completed by 10/29/2024 or within 12 months of entering the role, whichever is later. - TX SLPINTRN - Speech Lang Path TX Intern Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Or TX-SLP - Texas Speech Language Pathology Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation ABOUT US Since 1954, Texas Children's has been leading the charge in patient care, education and research to accelerate health care for children and women around the world.
