Analyst/Dev Sr Job Location: 3000 N. Sam Houston Parkway East,
Houston, TX 77032 Duties Responsible for the development,
maintenance, and/or support of applications in an assigned
technology, major system, or functional area (e.g., process
simulation, document management, payroll, etc.). Duties include
analysis leading to requirements/specifications, estimates, and
system designs. Assist others with programming, system testing,
documentation, system deployment, training, and project
setup/support often involving performing project setups, analyses,
designs, etc., for/with customers. Responsible for defining
continuous improvement paths in choosing right technologies and
defining center of excellence practices to follow. Similar duties
are often associated with the selection, acquisition, installation
and configuration of applications licensed from third parties.
Assist in supervising others. Provides basic job training and
guidance on a regular basis; performs work of same or closely
allied nature. Facilitating research in terms of adopting newer
tools and technologies in the digital transformation journey of the
organization. Responsible for working with the IT security and
governance team for approval of any new architecture need for any
app modernization journey. May telecommute. Requirements Employer
will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related
field and 10 years of experience in the job offered or in a IT
Applications Analyst/Dev Sr-related occupation. Position requires
experience in the following: -Experience in designing and
developing micro-services for different engineering algorithms used
for processes such as well exploration, well planning, static and
dynamic modelling, and analysis along with their containerized
deployment model using docker and Kubernetes for cloud (Azure/AWS)
platforms -Experience in designing and developing software
solutions for real-time seismic and drilling data acquisition, data
exchange and analysis for upstream domain using various tools and
technologies like C, C++, Managed C++, VC++( MFC),STL,WTL,ATLCOM,
C#, WPF, .net Parallel programming (TPL, PLINQ, LinQ), WCF, gRPC,
Protobuff, JQuery, JSON, HTML, CSS, XML, and python -Experience in
evaluating and developing POCs using best suited open-source tools
and technologies like gRPC, protobuffer, python, Perl to cater
diverse needs of petrochemical engineering team's ideas to a
software solution -Experience in Cloud migration of Mega data
centers and several IaaS, PaaS migration to Azure cloud with
responsibilities like assessment of COTS, custom apps/services
(including third party) in terms of their as-is and to-be
functional/non-functional aspects including compute and storage
infrastructure networking, security, integration and overall
architecture of new solution -Experience in designing and
architecting risk management application suites using various web
and mobile development toolkits such as Asp .net MVC, Android SDK,
Telerik Kendo, SyncFusion, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Java script, Entity
Framework, SQL Server, SQLite -Experience designing and developing
dynamic dashboard and report modules for optimal data analysis,
upload/download sync features for both web and mobile devices,
offline data handling capabilities in the mobile app -Experience in
the architecture and designing of a N-Tire solution for capturing,
managing and exchanging drilling data using different proprietary
(ADI) and industry standards like LIS, LAS, DLIS, WITSML, EDM etc
-Experience with various diagnostic utilities and tools for remote
and local troubleshooting of development, test and production
environments, including but not limited to performance profiling,
code instrumentation, memory profiling etc. using PCLint, CPPUnit,
JUnit, Bounds Checker, WinDbg, Debug Diagnostics, and VS remote
tools -Experience in developing high performance 2D, 3D
visualization application suites for real time broadcast of
critical data points used to enhance directional drilling, well
planning using C, C++, GDI, GDI, Open GL, Open Inventor Direct-X,
Direct-3D, QT etc -Experience in developing background
microservices around Anti-collision detection, torque-drag
calculations, dull bit grading, measurement-while-drilling (MWD),
logging while drilling (LWD), enhanced wellbore placement, BHA
design to facilitate overall well engineering workflow in terms of
