Job Description Job Description IT Support Specialist Automation Personnel Services is seeking a reliable and motivated IT Support Specialis t, for a company located in Katy TX. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive Tier 1 technical support across Windows and Mac environments while ensuring optimal performance of hardware, software, and network systems. This role manages the full lifecycle of company devices, maintains accurate asset records, supports enterprise software systems, and assists with network administration to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity for all end-users. Pay Rate: $25.00 an hour Schedule and Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm IT Support Specialist Duties and Responsibilities • Provide Tier 1 technical support for Windows 10/11 and Apple macOS & iOS devices. • Diagnose and resolve operating system issues, software malfunctions, application errors, and hardware failures. • Troubleshoot email, VPN, Wi-Fi, printers, and other connectivity issues. • Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff when necessary. • Configure laptops and devices with standardized software, security settings, and access permissions. • Assist the Senior IT Manager with special projects, system upgrades, and process improvements. • Document technical procedures and maintain knowledge base articles. • Perform additional IT-related duties as assigned. IT Support Specialist Qualifications and Requirements: • 2 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk environment. • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and macOS environments. • Experience with device provisioning tools (Rippling IT preferred). • Familiarity with Google Workspace and enterprise SaaS platforms. • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, switches). • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and customer service abilities. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • CompTIA A, Network, or similar certification. • Experience supporting warehouse or operational hardware (scanners, printers). • Experience with asset management systems and IT documentation processes.
