World class benefits, PTO and 401K Job Details Job Details: Our law firm, a prominent player in the legal industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Insurance Defense Associate who is passionate about the intersection of law and insurance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, civil litigation, legal documents, insurance defense, slip and fall, and commercial auto accidents. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to advance their career by working in a fast-paced, challenging environment that offers the chance to work on a diverse range of cases. The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience and be a member in good standing of the Texas Bar. Coverage experience is nice to have as well! Responsibilities: 1. Handle a wide variety of insurance defense cases from start to finish. 2. Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies. 3. Draft, review, and manage a range of legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs. 4. Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings. 5. Manage all aspects of discovery, including taking and defending depositions. 6. Work on slip and fall, commercial auto accident cases, and other related matters. 7. Collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth case progression. 8. Stay updated on changes in insurance defense laws and regulations. 9. Provide legal advice to clients regarding insurance claims and related matters. Qualifications: 1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 2. Must be a member in good standing of the Texas Bar. 3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense. 4. Proven experience in legal research, civil litigation, drafting legal documents, and handling slip and fall and commercial auto accident cases. 5. Strong knowledge of insurance laws and regulations. 6. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. 7. Ability to manage multiple cases and work within tight deadlines. 8. High degree of professional ethics and integrity. 9. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 10. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
