Safely transport containerized freight from ports to assigned destinations using provided chassis. Inspect vehicle for safety issues and perform preventative maintenance to ensure truck meets regulatory requirements. Manage documents like bills of lading and delivery tickets, ensuring their accuracy and completeness. Communicate effectively with dispatch and port officials to confirm pick-up and delivery schedules. Adhere to all company policies, port regulations, and traffic laws. Report any incidents or accidents to the company and relevant authorities immediately. Operate with a strong commitment to on-time delivery as it is critical for customer satisfaction and port efficiency. Experience with GPS and other navigation systems. Knowledge of port operations and container handling. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to make independent decisions under pressure. Proficient in maintaining logs and records required for compliance. Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements. Clean driving record. TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card.
