ZACHRYis currently seeking an experienced Industrial Foreman Reinforced Ironworker (Rebar/Rodbuster) for new construction work at our Golden Pass LNG Project in Sabine Pass, TX.Position SummaryReinforcing Steel Foreman will manage a crew as they construct, fabricate, modify, and secure steel bars and mesh using various types of fasteners and equipment in concrete forms to reinforce concrete structures.Qualification HighlightsMust have 4+ years' experience as a Reinforcing Ironworker. Must have 1+ years' experience as a supervisor Must be proficient in managing a crew, time, and costs Must possess all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positions Must be able to meet all physical requirements. Must have all required tools. Must have reliable transportation.Position ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints and specification to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required. Identify all tools required for tasks. Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks. Fabricate equipment according to blueprints or instructions from supervisors. Hoist equipment and tools into a location via bull rigging or crane. Position and secure equipment such as rebar, mesh, end caps using bending machines, hand tools, fasteners and other metal working methods and tools. Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel pieces, using metal shears, torches, bending tools and welding equipment. Job Requirements Required QualificationsMust have 4+ years' experience as a Reinforcing Ironworker and 1+ years' supervisory experience. Must be able to read prints and drawings. Must have a working knowledge of rebar including to but not limited to size, material, quantities and other specification to meet the requirements as stated on the prints and drawings. Must have a working knowledge of all tools. Must have reliable transportation.Preferred QualificationsCurrent Zachry or Zachry ROF'ed employee. Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc. National Center for Construction Education and Research's (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter. Formal/Technical education. Experience working with rebar, concrete and carpentry.Reports to PositionThis position will be responsible for a crew of up to 5-15 craft workers. The crew will be a mix of journeyman, helpers, and laborers.Required Tools list to be providedPhysical RequirementsEmployee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting. Will talk and hear to communicate. Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools. May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs. Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements. Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE. Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather steel-toed work boots.ZACHRY is dedicated to providing a Safe and Drug-Free work environment and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
