This is a growth opportunity for a shop mechanic in a pump
service center which will be responsible for disassembly, repair
and assembly of pumps. The mechanic will use precision inspection
equipment (micrometers, gages, etc.) to measure dimensions of pump
components and assemblies. The mechanic uses procedures and
craftsmanship to disassemble, repair and assemble pumps, and
completes all related documentation. This position reports to the
Manufacturing Manager at our Beaumont, TX, pump repair Quick
Response Center (QRC).
This position is for 2nd shift, working hours are 2:00 p.m. to
10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, plus overtime on same shift as
required. There is an expectation of 5% travel with this
Responsibilities & Requirements: Duties include, but not limited
Following instructions given in pre-job briefings and completing
DCI and assembly checklists, routers and procedures.
Cleaning each part to be reused and documenting the condition of

Inspecting components/assemblies accurately and precisely, and
clearly recording the results of these inspections. This includes
fits, clearances and TIR.

Assemble parts in proper sequence, as specified in the drawings
or method specifications.
Perform the assembling activities in accordance to the issued
engineering drawings and program within the allocated time.
Monitors quality of work throughout all stages of the
assembling, making dimensional and visual checks and appropriate
Communicating clearly and professionally with production
planners and customers to discuss the component and pump
Coordinate and interface with sales, operations, engineers, and
customers as necessary

Responsibilities & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of experience as a rotating equipment mechanic
Must have personal set of mechanic's tools, micrometers and
roll-around tool box.
Able to stand for long periods and lift objects up to 50
