An exciting opportunity for an Infection Control Nurse has just arrived at an award winning hospital in Southeast Texas! This is an excellent opportunity for goal-oriented nurse!This 200+ bed, acute-care hospital is looking for an Infection Prevention -Specialist - to join their highly-motivated team dedicated to serving the community. - This hospital offers -a state-of-the-art emergency room with a fast-track area for minor illness and injury, a dedicated heart center for cardiac services including electrophysiology, surgical suites with the latest in digital surgical technology, and an obstetrics unit that includes a neonatal intensive care unit for high-risk babies.The Infection Control Coordinator will report directly to the Quality and Infection Control Officer. The Infection Prevention Nurse is responsible for the Infection control function of the hospital. This includes working to identify and isolate disease outbreaks within the hospital, as well as to determine ways to minimize spread of infections. The Infection Control Coordinator will also provide education to ensure that proper infection control protocols are maintained.Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse and a -Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.Certification as Infection Control Practitioner preferred, as well.Southeast Texas offers a rich history and many museums to explore.
