Quality Assurance Leader (2201301) - Beaumont, TX
Where the Chemistry Happens---
The person selected to fill this position will be the primary resource for Quality Assurance matters at the Beaumont site. This position does not have direct reports.
Formula for Success: You Will---

Lead, implement and support the Quality Department activities to ensure compliance with BASF corporate safety and quality guidelines and the Site Responsible Care Management System. Lead quality risk assessments, internal audits, and support Quality and Responsible Care audits.
Lead and implement continuous improvement of the BASF quality management tools / systems used to support APT/A production activities including but not limited to: product assurance plans, data management, and SAP QM.
Support APT/A non-conformance management (NCM) program and actively participate in associated root cause failure analysis and facilitate implementation of corrective actions and preventative measures. Monitor and report first past quality KPIs and status of NCs for supported production plants in Hannibal and Beaumont.
Support Management of change (MOC) process for quality related activities involving changes in raw material vendors, product assurance plans, chemical process, specification, analytical methods, and other quality related documentation.
Provide support for the release of raw materials and final products and generation of Certificates of Analysis. Support regulatory compliance and registration activities related to APT/A final products. Manage shelf-life stability studies for selected products.
Liaise with the sourcing, production, technology, and logistics groups regarding Quality topics. Provide quality assurance assistance with production site(s), vendors, tollers, warehouses, and distribution centers as requested.
Ingredients for Success---
High School diploma or equivilant (GED) and 8 years of technical experience in a chemical production and support environment. Bachelor's degree preferredProficiency with SAP and quality managment systemsDemonstrated strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrated judgment in dealing with others and in dealing with technical issues of quality complience and regulatory concern.
Demonstrated ability to lead, analyze, troubleshoot, and provide practical solutions for real world problems
