Clean Harbors is seeking a dedicated LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) Technician I to join our team, contributing to our mission of safeguarding the environment through vigilant and precise detection, monitoring, and reporting of fugitive emissions. This role involves fieldwork and adherence to stringent environmental and safety regulations. As an LDAR Technician I at Clean Harbors, you will play a critical role in preventing pollution, ensuring compliance with environmental laws, and supporting our sustainability objectives in facilities across North America. Perform routine monitoring of components in compliance with EPA Method 21 and other regulatory standards. Identify leaks and other emissions sources using specialized detection equipment such as VOC analyzers and digital cameras. Document and report findings accurately in field logs and maintenance reports, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and environmental regulations. Maintain and calibrate monitoring equipment to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with team members and other departments to facilitate timely repairs of identified leaks. Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to remain updated on the latest industry practices and safety protocols. Proficiency in using VOC monitoring equipment and related technology Strong attention to detail and ability to document work accurately Basic mechanical and technical skills Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme weather and confined spaces Good communication and interpersonal skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified LDAR Technician preferred but not required. Training or certification in industrial safety, hazardous materials management, or a related area is advantageous.
